Where to shop for CFLs

"I went out to Walmart, Home Depot ,and Costco this past week and found some bulbs that I like. My favorites were:
65W reflector floods - 6 pack at Costco for $11.76 with instant rebate
60W spiral - Lights of America - $0.74 each at Walmart
60W spiral - Feit - $0.75 each at Home Depot
60W bulbs - Philips - $10 for 3 pack
I bought a whole bunch to try out and these were the best (and cheapest!)"

Where to shop for CFLs

Walmart has a great selection of CFLs (and an informative display, too!)
"After searching at Home Depot, OSH, and Costco, I found Wal Mart has the best selection of CFLs. In additon to the spirals, they have the candle type, outdoor reflector flood, globe, covered and other types of bulbs with a nice display of the corresponding incandescent bulbs to help sort out any confusion about which to use. Good prices too!"

CFL Selection Tool

Here’s another helpful resource for finding less common CFL bulbs … it’s an online tool which asks you to select criteria for your application (for example, is the fixture a recessed can, vanity light, or wall sconce? Do you want cool white or bright white light? For indoor or outdoor use?) and tells you what bulb or bulbs fit your criteria.

Check it out here.
